Read online Book Lovers.pdf PDF, EPUB, MOBI, TXT, DOC Book Lovers once i was sending a fr to a girl and her question was ‘which book girl are you?’ i thought of hundreds of books i’ve read and many characters that i adore sm but then i realised none of them was similar to me bc i couldn’t find a girl that i’m connected.. well till now bc i literally felt nora touching my soul in a level where none of the characters i’ve read so far did. honestly i can understand why many people don’t like this book bc it’s classified as a romance book but i don’t think it is? romance was like sub-plot, i felt like main topic that embroidered in it was nora’s relationships with the people in her life and trying to understand herself. i mean charlie is the love interest of this book but libby (sister of nora) was mentioned more than him. but i don’t think it makes the book worse bc every word that has been said and every decision that has been made by them was incredibly selfless, everyone is trying to give another a better life than their own and they are tangled in this beautiful and sad madness 🥹nora; the. love. i. have. for. this. woman. she is INCREDIBLY selfless, intelligent and strong. nora and libby lost their mother in a young age and since nora is the older one, she takes care of both of them ever since. when their mother passed away, she left school and started to work in two jobs to secure a life especially for libby. close to the end, libby got mad at her bc all she is focused was her job and she explained that the reason was not because she doesn’t have a life, but because she can’t bare the thought of losing the life that their mother wanted for them. she has to know that libby’s family is okay at all costs, and these made her a blade for people who don’t know her, cold and ruthless. this quote explains it so well; “That’s the thing about women. There’s no good way to be one. Wear your emotions on your sleeve and you’re hysterical. Keep them tucked away where your boyfriend doesn’t have to tend to them and you’re a heartless bitch.” there are things i adore from this woman other than her selfless behaviour, for example she can’t stand unorganised and broken things. she is constantly trying to make everything in order by preparing lists and fixing every broken thing and when she gets panicked or anxious she focuses on the things she can control, such as her lists. she has an incredible control over her emotions, she loves her tears bc they never disappoint her by showing up at crowded places. i even love her physical features, she is 180 cms tall and naturally have big foot. she is not tiny, she is not cute, she is not fragile and she definitely doesn’t give a single fuck if you don’t like her opinion. she is cold to the people she’s not close to, she is protective over people who are valuable to her, she is strong af, she is professional and intelligent in her job. god please let me be her in my future years too🧎🏽♀️her journey of discovering herself was amazing, in the end she realised that she was thinking that she can control herself in a preterhuman level but actually she was holding her wishes back. and at the end ‘would my mother like this?’ turns into ‘would i like this?’. and she eventually understand that loving someone doesn’t mean that you have to put them over yourself for your whole life, you can follow different paths and your love will never be gone; ”Maybe it’s possible to have more than one home. Maybe it’s possible to belong in a hundred different ways to a hundred different people and places.” charlie; sigh. he is literally male version of nora and there was no option for me to not adore him too. even though his problems were different than nora’s, they practically have the same core, being ruthless and cold, valuing their jobs and fear of not being enough and wanted. he is so smart and elegant that you don’t even stand a chance to not to like him. he hates his town due to his childhood but still makes sacrifices by leaving the city he loved so much to help his parents save their bookshop. he never complained that his sister (who was supposed to take over the bookshop) found love in italy and moved there and made him the only person who is able to run the business even he despises everything in that place. he is selfless like nora, but it doesn’t show bc he always pushes his emotions back and when nora compared him to a cat? i died dead. nora & charlie; the sophistication. the intelligence. the banter. the communication. there is no single thing that i disliked about their relationship. because they are so similar to each other; the way they understand each other, the way they communicate, the way they can sense what the other needs.. i have never read a couple that has this healthy relationship in my life. i like sunshine x grumpy trope so much but i realised i’m a sucker for grumpy x grumpy 😭 ”How do you do that?” His brow furrows. “Do what?” “Say the right thing.” The corner of his mouth quirks. “No one thinks that.” “I do.” His lashes splay across his cheeks as his gaze drops. “Maybe I just say the right thing for you.” do you see this quote? it is the entire summary of this book;charlie feels not wanted in town by his family? nora asks him to stay there to show she wants him to. nora feels torn apart between her city and her love? charlie makes sure she is going back bc he knows she would be happier in nyc even though he is not there. there were so many scenes to prove this but i couldn’t take notes bc i was bawling my eyes out. the way they make fun of what will they write on nora’s headstone, charlie calling her a shark and loves her devilish smile, the way they outdo each other by their intelligence, nora trying to make charlie understand that his wishes are important too, charlie giving his flat and job to nora bc he won’t be able to go back, their constant trust and need for each other… they are made for each other; ”So if you’re the ‘wrong kind of woman,’ then I’m the wrong kind of man.” and the way he talks about her; ”You’re a fighter,” he says. “When you care about something, you won’t let anything fucking touch it. I’ve never met anyone who cares as much as you do. Do you know what most people would give to have someone like that in their life?” ”Just because not everyone gets you doesnt mean you’re wrong.“ i loved everything about this book with all my heart. and thanks to emily henry for making us readers a part of this book too; ”Nora.” He just barely smiles. “You’re in books. Of course you don’t have a life. None of us do. There’s always something too good to read.” *dies happily* 🥹sep 20:*nervous cough* i’m scared to write a review bc like. by Emily Henry
